We have a discussion in the computer room on every monday EXCEPT on the 3rd monday of the month and then it is in the fireside room and Pat Davis will be there to teach a few things and answer questions.

Classes (all) for 1 year $10.00

Spouse addition for 1 year $ 5.00

Spouse Classes for 1 year $10.00

Our Statement

Helping each other with computers

The FOS computer Club has been meeting regularly for about 10 years and has been growing steadily during that time. The current membership is over 250 members.

The FOS computer Club meets monthly on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. In the winter, meetings are held in the Recreation hall and during the summer months, meetings are held in the Craft Room. Presentations of timely topics are presented at each meeting.

Dues of $10 per year and fees for classes help defray costs of buying and maintaining the club's equipment. Making and selling address labels and business cards at the monthly swap meet and at other functions during the year are fund raisers for the club as well. The computer club is completely self sustaining.

A variety of computer related classes are regularly offered to members. A person must be a member of the club in good standing to participate in the classes.

Membership is open to all who are interested in computers. Ownership of a computer is not required.

Digital Camera users are also part of the computer club and meet on the 3rd Friday of each month. The meetings are held in the Craft Room and are open to persons with or without cameras that would like to learn more about them.

"WE NOW HAVE WI-FI IN THE PC LAB " SO BRING YOUR LAP-TOP TO CLASS'S ALONG W/ YOUR AC ADAPTER FOR POWER

COMPUTER ACCESS

We have high speed internet access in our computer room. We have wifi in the Fireside and Lakeside rooms. This means that if you have a lap top computer with a wifi card, either built-in or an adapter, you can get your mail from home and surf the net. We are hoping that the wifi will also reach the pool area so if you want to sit around the pool and use your lap top you can. There will be no extra electical outlets, so be sure your lap top is charged. Please NO cords to cause anyone to trip and fall.

CLEAN UP THE LAB

There is not a speaker or official meeting. It is time to clean up the computers and put things away for next year. We will put things in order, Take off extra things on the machines and do a general pick up. We would be glad to have you help us if you can.

Thanks to everyone that attended meetings and classes this past season. It is you that make up our club and keep it going. You can send us an email and let us know how things are going or if you have questions, we will try to answer them. Our email address is foscomputer@aol.com

For those that are leaving FOS for other places, have a safe journey. For those that are staying, enjoy the heat. I will be with you all. Maybe we can get together and have a little puter chat sometime.
